It can be bittersweet converting your baby’s crib into a toddler bed, or buying them their first big kid bed. As wonderful as it is to see them growing up and into the people they are, transitions are hard, for parents and kids. New bedding might provide a fun way to signal that something new and exciting is taking place, as well as an excuse to jettison those worn out crib sheets.

Below you’ll find our top picks for adorable and comfortable toddler bedding, perfect for your growing little one. Many of the brands we’ve highlighted have a wealth of color and pattern options, so if you like a style or feel, be sure to check out the rest of their offerings.

A Note About Toddler Bedding Sizing

The vast majority of toddler beds fit the same size mattress as a standard crib, so if you still have crib bedding you like, you can keep it in the mix. This is also why you won’t always find specific “toddler” size sheets when shopping. If top sheets are important to you, you’ll want to find a retailer (like several below) that do sheet sets for this size, but you can also go for a Continental option with just a bottom sheet and a duvet or quilt (this might be a good middle ground for kids who are adjusting to having blankets in their beds). Whatever you decide, there are lots of options for you and your little one.

11 Favorite Toddler Sheets, Quilts, and Bedding Sets

1 / 11
Maisonette
$76.00

The classic black and white polka dot print checks all my design boxes, and it’s neutral enough that you can add throw pillows and blankets in whatever colors make sense for your room. This set includes a duvet cover and pillowcase (buy the matching crib sheet and an insert separately). These are Fair Trade, made of sateen organic cotton, and machine washable.

2 / 11
Gooselings
$105.00

It’s hard not to fall in love with the gorgeous, heirloom quality linens from Gooselings. This duvet set is my favorite for passing down, as it has neutral colorways that still manage to be delightful to both kids and adults. It’s made in Portugal and Denmark, and you can buy it with or without the down insert. Add on a coordinating toddler pillow and crib sheet for the full set. This set comes in soft sateen, and can be customized with a name if you so choose.

Pottery Barn Kids
$65.00

This sheet set features a whimsical set of trees, cars, trucks, signs, bikes, and other things you might see around the neighborhood. The vibe is similar to the wooden toys I like to choose, rather than the plastic versions, soothing to look at, but still lots of fun for little ones into things that go. This 200 thread count set comes with top and fitted sheet and a pillowcase, and you can buy a coordinating quilt.

Tuft & Needle
$75.00

You might know Tuft&Needle as a mattress company, but they also have adorable percale bedding. I love the look of the black and white constellation print on this set—it comes with a fitted and flat sheet and a pillowcase—but there are several other options. You can also add on an organic muslin blanket in the toddler size in a choice of colors to complete the ensemble.

5 / 11
Brooklinen
$235.00

This is your one stop bundle for fully outfitting a toddler bed with Brooklinen bedding. You get a lot of choice with this set, which allows you to build your own configuration. Your custom set (which doesn’t have to match) will include a fitted sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase and insert, and a toddler comforter. Choose from fun, colorful patterns—all appropriate for gender neutral rooms. The bundling option will save you a little money up front, as well.

6 / 11
Crate & Barrel
$54.00

If your child wishes they lived in a woodland wonderland, these might be the sheets for you. These are made of organic cotton, and are neutral enough to mesh well with a variety of rooms and blanket options (though there is a coordinating quilt available). The sweet animal faces will be fast favorites for your little one. The set includes a flat and fitted sheet and a standard pillowcase.

7 / 11
West Elm
$100.00

There is something so decadent and cozy about this velvet toddler bed quilt. Besides having a gorgeous look, it’s also cozy and soft, sure to be a toddler favorite. With several diverse color selections, it’s easy to pair with whatever sheets you choose. The only drawback to this gorgeous quilt is care: it’s dry clean only.

8 / 11
West Elm
$42.00

This isn’t a set, per se, but this sheet roundup isn’t complete without a shout out to Rookie Humans, who make bedding so eye-catching, it almost looks like a mural. At this time, they don’t have duvets in a toddler size, but they make them for twin and up, so you can start your little one out with the crib sheets and coordinating swaddles, and add on as they get older.

9 / 11
Oilo
$48.00

Olio takes soft to the next level. Their sheets are made of Turkish cotton knit jersey which also makes up one side of this blanket. On the other side, you’ll find fuzzy plush. I love the subtle sophistication of all of their prints, and there is a variety to give you some options. You can buy this blanket and coordinating sheet for the baby years and they will take you all through toddler time, or mix it up when you little one gets bigger.

10 / 11
Parachute
$119.00

The basics you love for your own bed often come in a smaller size for your mini me. This luscious quilt is one such luxury. Choose from three neutral colors and pair with ultra soft crib sheets, for a coordinating or mix and match look that will stand the test of time, and multiple kids.

Aden + Anais
$99.95

This is part of Aden + Anais’ new line of weighted blankets for toddlers, the idea being to help calm them as they transition to a toddler bed from a crib. I like this version because it’s a super soft plush fabric (velvet fleece on one side and sherpa on the other) but it also comes in a lighter weight with a variety of colors (this version has three colorways). When you’re choosing a weighted blanket, make sure you’re choosing one that doesn’t exceed 10% of your child’s weight (this is true for all people). This version is made for kids 26.5 lbs and above. Pair it with one of Aden + Anais’ crib sheets, or favorites of your own.
