Part of the Apartment Therapy Media family of brands, Cubby started as a newsletter in fall 2020 and launched as a website the following year. We share candid, expert-informed advice to make life at home with kids happier, easier, and more fun. We leave parenting to you, but offer proven ideas and solutions for everything else that matters in the home when you have kids: room ideas for kids big and small; solutions for kid messes and shared spaces; recipes and meal ideas everyone will want to eat; and tested toys that provide hours of fun.

Cubby is helmed by Editor-in-Chief Alison Goldman and Senior Editor Katy B. Olson alongside a small yet passionate team committed to sharing the best products, easiest food ideas, smartest organizational hacks, and most useful lifestyle resources for families of all shapes and sizes.

Cubby knows that having kids in your home means nearly constant evolution of home life — from what furniture you need, to how you organize your stuff, to what meals and eating look like. When most parenting sites tap out, Cubby steps up with guides like how to get your kid into a big kid bed and tips for helping siblings share rooms. We know that parenting is a long haul and the surprises and joys of the early years are only the beginning. Cubby is a resource for parents long after the nursery has become a toddler room and into the years when the home has to do a lot more. We believe that a good life at home with kids is about everyone having the space and connection they need to flourish.

At Cubby, we take product recommendations for your family super seriously. We don’t just “office test” products (read: move them around in our “lab” with a fake baby doll) because that is helpful to approximately no one. Everything we recommend has been independently selected by our editorial team, based on either thoughtful testing by us or fellow parents in real homes, or thorough research.
