Tay Lautner’s Baby Nursery Is Full of “Timeless” Decor Inspiration

“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?” That was the adorable caption of wife Tay and husband Taylor Lautner’s March 26 Instagram post, revealing the news of her pregnancy. They’ve since shared that the third Lautner will be a baby girl, and now Tay has partnered with Pottery Barn Kids to design what she describes as a “girly, colorful, and peaceful” nursery. 

I got to take an early peek at some of the gorgeous nursery photos, and if you’re in the process of decorating a baby’s room, you’re going to want to take a look, too. 

The color scheme leans on soft tones of white and pink plus blue and green. I love the way they’re paired with textures like cane and wicker to balance out the pastel hues. Floral and butterfly accents add just a hint of whimsy. (Many are part of the Pottery Barn Kids x Hill House Home collaboration that launched this past March.) The nursery plays with different shapes in such a fun way, too: Scalloped edges on storage baskets, ruffle accents on upholstery, bobbin trim borders on picture frames, tassel fringe on window curtains, and an oval rug layered over a rectangular one all come together to create a space that feels classic and modern at the same time. 

And that’s exactly what Tay was going for. “I wanted something with a timeless feel that I could keep around,” she says. “I wanted to bring in all of the frills and the patterns and give it that classic feel.”

The furnishings don’t just look cute, either — multipurpose pieces like a dresser with a removable changing table topper and a crib that converts into a toddler bed (though you’ll need to buy the conversion kit separately) ensure that the room can age with baby Lautner as she grows up.
