IKEA’S Newest Kids’ Line Feels like a Colorful Storybook Come to Life (Furry Chairs! Poufs with Teeth!)
As a mom of a 7-year-old, I know all about trying to find the perfect balance when creating big-kid spaces. My daughter is building her personality and shedding the little-kid stuff even though she still holds tight to all things unicorns, Roblox and, of course, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Her style is a quirky blend of cute and unexpected, and as her mom I lean into letting her express herself through decor. IKEA just dropped a new collection, GREJSIMOJS, that taps right into that middle phase, encouraging self-expression for growing kids who want their rooms to feel a little more like them.
GREJSIMOJS includes over two dozen sleek product picks designed to integrate play with function throughout your kids’ rooms or playroom (though these whimsical yet polished pieces will feel right at home in some grown-up spaces, too). The collection centers saturated colors like bright yellow and deep green, and channels cheeky childhood creativity into the kind of signature minimalist furniture and accents that have made the Swedish home goods retailer so beloved.
I love that this collection — filled with vibrant floor cushions and a pouf with paws and teeth — is playful and youthful, but also just mature enough to not feel like it’s filled with carryovers from the nursery. Best of all, this collection stays true to IKEA’s roots, with most of the offerings at wallet-friendly price points, mainly between $10 to $50.
As of February 1, you can shop GREJSIMOJS at all IKEA locations worldwide and online. I’m spotlighting a few of my favorite pieces from what’s sure to be an iconic line below. You’ll want to move fast before it sells out.
