West Elm’s Supercute Lamp Adds Whimsy to Any Room

The holiday season is (unfortunately!) over, and you’re probably starting to take down all the joyful decorations like colorful paper chains and textured pom-pom trees. If your house seems colder and darker and spring feels far, far away, you and your kids might be itching to bring some vibrancy back into your home. Well, I’ve got it for you, courtesy of the cutest West Elm Kids decor piece. 

West Elm Kids’ Flower Floor Lamp stands at 57 inches tall and will add a vibrant floral pop to any space. It comes in four colors, including buttery ochre, poppy red, soothing white, and the sweetest soft iris. The rounded base (adorned with the cutest little leaf) feels super whimsical. I can’t not smile when I look at this lamp! 

I first spotted the Flower Floor Lamp in Jessica Marak’s son, Leo’s, colorful bedroom in their Los Angeles home. “Our design inspiration for Leo’s room was to create a space that is both joyful and functional,” Jessica explained at the time of her Cubby Room Tour. “We wanted it to be a place where practicality meets playfulness, a room that would grow with him while keeping it lighthearted and full of energy.”

My eyes were drawn immediately to the flower lamp because it brings that exact cheerful feeling to the room that Jessica described. While the lamp is pictured in Leo’s nursery, I agree with what West Elm says on its site: This is a light fixture that can grow with a kid as they age. The lamp is a bit pricey at $329, but I think it’s a worthwhile investment that can work in playrooms, family rooms, and adult bedrooms, too.
