This Sweet Nursery Art DIY Is So Easy to Pull Off (and Might Make You Cry — In a Good Way!)
Preparing your home for a baby is an exciting undertaking — but also, you know, an undertaking. If you have a dedicated space carved out, whether it’s a nursery or a corner of your bedroom, it can feel overwhelming to source all the gear needed to outfit and furnish it (luckily we have a guide for that!).
And then there are the decisions about decor. Art, lamps, rugs, wallpaper, bedding — it’s hard to know if your kid will connect in the future with the items you pick now. Ideally you’ll find a few pieces that can stand the test of time (and that don’t break the bank), like this sweet DIY nursery art idea from TikTok user @stephanieannette.
In the video, Stephanie shows a framed piece of paper with the words “I love you” written over and over in different handwriting. “I had my husband & I write ‘I love you’ a few different ways and framed it for our daughter’s nursery 🥺 I got the idea from another creator who did something similar but I cannot remember her name 😢,” reads the caption.
This really is something that any parent or loved one can make — no artistic skills required — and it’s something your kid will be sure to cherish for many years to come. (My dad passed away a few years ago, and I hold the few things I have with his handwriting on them so dearly.)
Stephanie mentions in the comment section that the wooden arch frame is from HomeGoods. If you live near a HomeGoods store, it might be worth seeking out the exact frame (it’s so beautiful!). But you can also find similar options online, like the one below.
Even if you’re well past the baby stage, and that nursery has become a big-kid room, I still think this framed piece would look adorable up on the wall. It has a timelessness about it (love never goes out of style, right?) that can grow with your kid. It’s simple and understated, yet so special.
