Butter yellow is all the rage in home design this year (KitchenAid even named this shade its Color of the Year for 2025). If you’ve been wanting to work this yummy hue into your home, IKEA has just the product for you: the SPETSBOJ table lamp, which comes in three fun colors (including a pale yellow), costs just $13, and is taking social media by storm right now.

TikTok user Brad Canning (@brad) picked up the SPETSBOJ lamp in a recent IKEA haul and showed it off to his followers. “Such a fun lamp for $15 [AUD],” he wrote in the caption of his video, which now has over 31,000 likes. “Couldn’t decide if I wanted green or yellow but ended up with yellow.”

“Love this lamp choice!” one person commented on Brad’s post. “Yellow was a great pick. It adds such a cheerful vibe to any space.”

IKEA’s SPETSBOJ Lamp Is Heating Up on TikTok

Beyond its striking color, the SPETSBOJ is also super functional, thanks to its dimmability. Just turn the upper shade segment of the lamp to reduce how much light it emits through the shutter at the top. Made from powder-coated steel, this piece is also pretty sturdy, considering its small size and inexpensive price point.

Other shoppers shared similar sentiments and are loving the fact that you can also buy a bulb for the SPETSBOJ at IKEA (one doesn’t come with the lamp). “Purchased the bulb at IKEA and it’s the perfect warmth and hue,” another person wrote. “I use it at night in my bedroom to wind down. Such a vibe.”
