Serena & Lily’s New Kids’ Collection Has Peak Coastal Energy
If you’ve ever felt the urge to transplant the coastal, preppy vibe from a Serena & Lily catalog directly into your home … first of all, same. And secondly, you’ll want to brace your bank account: Serena & Lily Kids, a new collection for children and babies, is officially here, and it’s every bit as dreamy as you’d expect.
The brand just rolled out over 200 items for families with young kids in an expansion of its offerings for children; the entire new collection is now live.
The kids’ range includes wallpaper, furniture (from cribs to bunk beds), bedding, decorative accents, and much more, all in Serena & Lily’s signature whimsical beachy style (think: scalloped edges, trellis patterns, muted tones, and delicate florals of all kinds). There’s also a wide span of price points. Take the lighting category, which includes both a $38 Capiz shell star nightlight and a $2,158 Moravian star pendant.
As a parent who plans to move my boy/girl twins into separate bedrooms in the near future, this collection gives me all the design inspiration. I’m even toying with the idea of letting each kid choose one of the new wallpaper patterns for their new rooms, which is something I never thought I’d say. This collection’s options are just that good: There’s a nautical-inspired print, a precious pink ribbon design, and a playful elephant-patterned pick, to name a few. Since kids’ preferences tend to change frequently, I love that some of the wallpaper prints are available in removable vinyl.
For the nursery, the line offers a selection of all the essentials parents of infants need: cribs, gliders, changing tables, bookcases, and more, in materials like rattan and turned-wood and patterns that include stripes, gingham, nautical, and floral. For bigger kids’ bedrooms, you’ll find bed frames, desks, step stools, and plenty of decorative accents. And for the playroom, kid-size replicas of Serena & Lily’s iconic Parisian-inspired rattan chairs and tables ($848 for a set of one table and two chairs), comfy lounge chairs, bookcases, and storage bins perfect for stowing away stuffed animals and other toys are all on offer.
It’s hard to even begin to narrow down my favorites — the collection is so big and that good — but here are just a few of the many, many items that have caught my eye.
