The New Nestig Nursery Chair “Feels like You’re Sitting on a Cloud” (I’m in Love!)

As a mom of two boys ages 3 and 1, a rocking chair or glider is an absolute must for me. We use a chair in the boys’ room for feeding, reading, and playing. Nestig just released nursery chairs for the first time, and the collection includes the Cosma Swivel Glider as well as four other chairs: the Drift Glider Recliner, the Dawn Swivel Glider, the Dusk Swivel Glider, and the Starling Rocking Chair. They also offer three coordinating ottomans. 

I chose the Cosma because of its modern design and small space-friendly footprint. Somehow, it feels larger than any of my previous nursery chairs when I’m in it — thanks to the height of the back cushion and width of the armrests — yet fits better in my boys’ room than those others. 

The chair is a luxurious piece of furniture, and really elevates the entire look of my boys’ room. I ordered my chair in the Pebble Stripe fabric, which is neutral and gorgeous at the same time and helps bring together the nautical theme of the boys’ room. And not only is the Cosma beautiful in their bedroom, it’s quiet and smooth.

The glider arrived in only two pieces, which made my husband and me extremely happy. The setup was a breeze, and we were able to use it immediately. 

Sitting in the Cosma Swivel Glider feels like you’re sitting on a cloud with great back support (an essential for recovering postpartum moms!). My boys are big boys and love to be cuddled and read to together, and the glider has made it easier for me to hold them both comfortably while reading and singing to them. I also love how low the seat is to the ground. My 3-year-old can easily sit in the chair and use it as his calm-down chair or cozy chair when he needs a minute to unwind. 

The Cosma Swivel Glider from Nestig is great for any new parent or newish parent who’s looking for a high-end glider or rocking chair. Starting at $999, it’s pricier than some other nursery chairs on the market (and my version of the chair in the Luxe Pebble Stripe with a wood base would have come out to $1,299), but I think the price matches the value. It’s by far the nicest glider I’ve ever owned. I’m so excited for my boys to grow with this glider — and for it to be our last one. My days of testing nursery chairs are finally over!
