This Popular (Allergy-Friendly!) Snack Brand Just Launched a “5/5” Limited-Edition Cookie

The holiday season is magical for so many reasons, but one big one is the return of all your favorite seasonal treats that only come around once a year. (Mine were always the Pillsbury sugar cookies with the reindeer faces on them.) And some years, if you’re lucky, you find new favorites that make this time of year feel extra special for you and your family.

Beloved allergy-friendly brand MadeGood has launched a Hot Cocoa flavor of its Organic Crunchy Cookie Bites, and they look so delicious. According to MadeGood’s website, the Hot Cocoa cookies are “new and here for the holiday cheer,” and only available at Target.

Instagram user makeitallergyfree shared the news of the holiday flavor with the following caption: “Found a new holiday cookie at Target! Have you tried these yet? They look so good.”

TikToker user grocerymama_ posted a video of the cookie box on the shelf at Target. It appears to be in an area with other holiday food items, so you might have luck finding them in a similar section in your store (versus the regular cookie aisle). While the cookies are listed for $9.49 per box on Target’s website, it’s worth noting that the box costs $7.99 in this particular user’s store.

The crunchy little oat flour-based cocoa cookies are studded with vanilla chips — they’re totally evocative of a mug of hot cocoa with white marshmallows in it! So cute. These treats are great to have around for school snacks, holiday parties, and little gift bags. They’re free from the top nine allergens — peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, egg, sesame, wheat, fish, shellfish — so they’re a good option for so many occasions.

While I haven’t had a chance to try this seasonal treat yet, the reviews make me feel like these cookies are sure to be a hit. According to the Target reviews, the cookies get a 5/5 for quality and taste, and 4.4/5 for value.

“My 7-year-old and I love these. Love the taste and the texture. Will definitely be repurchasing,” wrote one Target customer in their review. “I first saw these when ordering snacks for my kids; they love the MadeGood brand so I figured, why not try it? They loved these and so do I. They have such a great flavor!” said another.

It’s unclear how long this seasonal limited-edition flavor will be on shelves for, or if it will be back next year, so head to Target to try it out for yourself soon!
