When friends and family start asking what my kids (I’ve got five under age 10!) want for the holidays or birthday parties, I always feel guilty admitting that some of their favorite toys, from the brand Lovevery, come with a hefty price tag. One of our most tried-and-true playroom favorites, the brand’s Real Life Play Kitchen, rings up at a substantial $300.

The kitchen — and the brand’s popular play kits, which retail for $80 to $138 each depending on the age group (or slightly less if you purchase a subscription) — are worth the cost. They’re designed by child development experts for specific age groups and stages, which means my kids will spend hours playing with them while also learning new skills. But the prices are typically out of the range of what many holiday or birthday gift shoppers want to spend.

Enter: the new Lovevery mini play kits. These kits are available this week at Target, for a more reasonable $60 a pop. There are nine options to choose from, including the following:

Lovevery Baby Sensory Play Collection Mini Kit
$60

This mini kit (for ages 0M+) features black and white wall decals, an activity mat with a fun mix of colors and textures, and a high-contrast book to help your baby explore multiple senses during tummy time.

Lovevery Baby Movement Play Collection Mini Kit

As babies grow, their movement evolves. This mini kit encourages rolling and crawling with the use of sensory toys, like the rolling wobbler (think of it as an elevated rattle), helping babies ages 5 months and up explore the world around them.

Lovevery Toddler Food Prep Play Collection Mini Kit

Toddlers love helping, and this kit gives them the tools to lend a hand in the kitchen. It includes measuring cups, a bowl, a recipe book, and their very own apron to help kids 18 months and up feel like they’re the ultimate chef.

Lovevery Toddler Routines Play Collection Mini Kit

Transitions can be hard for toddlers, but this kit introduces them to helpful tools, like a countdown timer and a routine board, to help navigate everyday tasks. It’s ideal for ages 17 months and up.

My own 2-year-old now has this mini kit on her list this year. For 21 months and up, it includes a wooden peg puzzle, a matching game with 3D animals and corresponding cards, and a book called Rylan Says No! (which is on-brand for my toddler).
