Kirsten Bell Showed Off the Shiniest Iridescent Kids’ Plates — Here’s Where to Get Them
Recently, Kristen Bell’s kids made her a delectable (some would even say gourmet) treat — cinnamon toast, but made with cayenne instead of cinnamon. It’s an acquired taste. But what isn’t an acquired taste is what the kids served the thing on.
The toast arrived to Bell on an iridescent kiddie plate that’s so pretty even adults would want to eat off it. Just not… “cinnamon” toast…
The plate is one of the Balanced Bites plates from Ahimsa. These plates actually come in three different colorways: rainbow (the same ones Bell’s kids eat on), iridescent blue, and classic stainless steel. They also come in mealtime sets!
The Ahimsa plates are designed by pediatricians and moms to last a lifetime. They’re free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, melamine, and lead, and can be thrown in the dishwasher over and over again.
According to the Ahimsa website, stainless steel is preferable to plastic plates because “steel is inert. That means no harmful chemicals will be transferred into your child’s food with Ahimsa. Our dishes are non-porous, so bacteria won’t be left behind. Plus our dishes are intentionally designed by a Pediatrician-mom to encourage healthy variety, portions and habits at any age.”
Ahimsa also makes cups, on-the-go containers, snack bowls, big-kid plates, and more all in those mermaid/unicorn color-shifting finishes.
So although the food in Bell’s Instagram post may be less than desirable, the plate itself is a treat for the eyes. Let’s just hope she had some water or milk in a matching Ahimsa cup ready to go.
