It may be the dead of winter for the rest of us, but in the world of Jellycat, spring is already in the air. Beloved for its signature playful grins — seen on characters as varied as Ramsley the curly horned sheep and his barnyard companions, a cheerful cast of vegetables and fruits, and even a pair of pink and white marshmallows — the plush brand is ushering in the season early. As of January 13, the London-based toy company has released 16 fresh new friends, each one cuter than the last, from a teeny-tiny turtle named Thimble to huggable bunnies wearing personalized sweaters. And per Jellycat code, each one arrives with a delightful backstory.

If you’re new to the Jellycat game, be warned that they’re known to sell out quickly. The site even stipulates how many you’re able to purchase per order. Only one slice of a smiling carrot cake? The audacity! Read on for a few of my favorite picks in this new drop.

Amuseables Carrot Cake
$45

This candle-holding carrot cake who, according to his backstory, loves serving up pavlova at midnight tea parties, is perfect for the springtime birthday baby in your life.

Amuseables Broccoli
$60

This smiling, two-stalk broccoli is, notes Jellycat, known for “hosting karaoke nights all over London,” but you’ll probably want to bring him home to familiarize your kids with vegetables rather than teach them how to dance.

$60 at Jellycat
Amuseables Siofra Shamrock
$30

Siofra (a female Irish name meaning elf or fairy) is launching just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. As Jellycat puts it, her day gig is as “Morale Officer at the Jellycat Garden Society, where her job is to keep spirits blooming.” Consider the smiles she generates for your kiddos all in a day’s work.

Amuseables Watering Can
$60

An indoor-only take on a garden staple, this plush watering can is softer than his outdoor counterparts and perfect for playrooms and plant shelves alike.

Bartholomew Bear Daffodil Outfit
$65

Batholomew Bear, a longtime fixture of the Jellycat fam, now comes outfitted in a bright daffodil costume that’s guaranteed to bring sunshine (and hope of an early spring).
