This time of year always brings memories of spending cozy afternoons in the kitchen baking with my grandmother. She was a master home-baker with that signature secret touch all grandmas seem to have. Every holiday season, I have a yearning to recreate some of her famous baked goods, but this year, I finally committed myself to doing it! My grandma made the best cookies (so does yours, right?). She always used a cooling rack, a trick which truly changes the texture of a cookie post-bake, and something few of us actually take the time to use.
